The Santarita


The Santarita, a vibrant blend of silver tequila muddled with fresh mint and raspberries, mixed with ice and Island Oasis Raspberry and Margarita Beverage Mixes, served in a glass rimmed with crushed freeze-dried raspberries, mint, sugar, and margarita salt, and garnished with fresh raspberries and mint, offers a refreshing fusion of fruity sweetness and minty freshness perfect for festive occasions.

Yield: 1 drink

Ingredients:

2 sprigs Fresh mint, divided
2 ea. Fresh raspberries
1 ½ oz. Silver tequila
1 cup Ice
3 oz. Island Oasis Raspberry Frozen Beverage Mix
1 oz. Island Oasis Margarita Beverage Mix
2 oz. Water 1 tsp. Freeze-dried raspberries, crushed, optional
1 tsp. Chopped fresh mint
1 tsp. Coarse sugar
½ tsp. Margarita salt Fresh raspberries, optional

Instructions:

Step 1  Muddle 1 mint sprig, 2 raspberries and tequila in a cocktail mixing glass. Add ice, water, raspberry and margarita mixes. Stir with a cocktail spoon until well blended. Set aside. 
Step 2  Prepare glass by combining crushed freeze-dried raspberries, chopped mint, sugar and margarita salt in a cocktail rimmer. Run the lime wedge around the rim of a highball or rocks glass. Dip the glass into the freeze-dried raspberry and mint mixture until rim is well coated.

Extra Twist: This margarita riff is equally tasty when made with other Island Oasis flavors such as Wildberry, Mango or Strawberry mixes.
